Staff Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the development of vehicle power moding strategies for current and next-generation electrical architectures
• Own the end-to-end technical definition of the vehicle power moding system
• Lead the design of arbitration logic to resolve competing power requests from various subsystems
• Define software interfaces and APIs for the power moding service over an Ethernet backbone
• Partner with functional safety and energy management teams to implement "Limp-Home" strategies and load-shedding
• Drive the decomposition of high-level vehicle requirements into testable technical specifications
• Manage the vehicle-level sleep budget by allocating and monitoring limits
• Support the definition of test cases for SIL and HIL environments
• Lead functional analysis including DFMEA and FTA

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in systems engineering for complex electromechanical platforms
• Proven ability to design timing-critical sequences for high-transient loads
• Deep understanding of high-voltage to low-voltage conversion and power rail stability
• Expertise in requirements management tools such as Jama, Polarion, or DOORS
• Strong experience with functional analysis tools like DFMEA and FTA
• Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262
• Ability to travel up to 10%
