About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end PCIe Gen5/Gen6 system architecture for NVMe SSD product lines
  • Define and review PCIe and NVMe integration across SSD products
  • Manage SoC/ASIC integration including clocks, resets, power domains, and lane mapping
  • Establish PCIe SFR and firmware design guidelines for LTSSM, power states, and error handling
  • Lead platform bring-up and debug for enumeration, link training, and speed negotiation
  • Coordinate NVMe power states (APST) with PCIe L-states to optimize latency and stability
  • Act as the technical authority for cross-team and customer escalations

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in systems design or similar semiconductor roles
  • Deep expertise in PCIe configuration and extended capability registers (MSI/MSI-X, AER, BARs)
  • Experience with PHY/MAC IP review and integration requirements
  • Strong understanding of NVMe behavior and firmware architecture
  • Proficiency in debugging link training, speed negotiation, and power management transitions
  • Knowledge of platform interoperability across client laptops and enterprise servers
