About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical evaluation and trade-off studies across software architecture, controls development, cyber security, and functional safety
  • Define and maintain system, subsystem, and interface architectures
  • Establish and improve software creation and management processes and development workflows
  • Guide cyber security, functional safety, and verification strategies
  • Provide technical leadership for product-facing initiatives such as stability teams and diagnostics development
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and validation teams to ensure practical and manufacturable solutions
  • Interpret customer, regulatory, and supplier requirements into actionable system requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the Engineering industry
  • Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or heavy-duty vehicle product development
  • Proficiency in requirements management, documentation control, and configuration management
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering methods including requirements decomposition and risk management
  • Experience with hands-on troubleshooting, prototyping, and testing
  • Working knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems
