Staff System Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and document OS Kernel and Device Driver software using C, C++, and Python
• Participate in agile development within a scrum team
• Contribute to technical discussions with software, hardware, and architecture stakeholders
• Work closely with hardware and silicon engineering groups during product development phases

Requirements

• Proven industry experience in software development using C, C++, or Python
• Experience in OS Kernel and Device Driver development for Linux or Windows
• Understanding of lower-level software stacks and hardware layer interactions
• Proficiency with debug and performance analysis tools
• Experience with PCIe, CPU, device drivers, SoC, firmware, or hardware/software integration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing firmware or drivers for GPUs
• Knowledge of CUDA or OpenCL
• Experience upstreaming kernel code to the Linux kernel
• Exposure to data center or cloud service operations (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenStack)
