Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Manage Mechanical Assemblies category to enable supplier qualification from prototype to volume production
• Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) feedback to Product Engineering
• Vet supplier production capabilities, quality control, and factory layouts
• Oversee new supplier production tooling and line bring-up
• Manage supplier capacity expansion and production ramps
• Implement end of line (EoL) testing protocols at supplier sites
• Deliver predictable supply of mechanical assemblies for NPI and production programs
• Drive supplier quality development through design reviews and testing
• Lead root cause task forces and manage Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) at suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization
• Expertise in fixture design, tooling development, and DFM for high volume metal and plastics (die casting, stamping, forging, machining, injection molding, vacuum forming)
• Proficiency in CAD and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Working knowledge of FMEA, APQP, and PPAP (including MSA)
• Ability to travel to supplier sites for audits and evaluations
