Staff Strategic Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end customer relationships for strategic and complex accounts as a primary point of contact.
• Lead programs through the full product lifecycle, including NPD, NPI, production readiness, and scaling.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.
• Drive program scope definition, stage-gate reviews, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Lead the development of new operational capabilities and evaluate business ROI.
• Establish program governance through KPIs, milestone management, and executive reporting.
• Identify systemic process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and coach junior Strategic Program Managers to elevate organizational capability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive experience leading complex technical programs in manufacturing or product development.
• Expertise in NPD, NPI, APQP, and production scaling in high-volume environments.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC Machining, Injection Molding, 3D Printing, or Sheet Metal Fabrication.
• Proven track record of managing executive-level customer relationships.
• Strong proficiency in program management, ERP, PLM, CRM, and business intelligence tools.
• Ability to travel 11–25% annually to visit customers and manufacturing facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or an MBA.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or APICS/ASCM.
• Experience in contract manufacturing, digital manufacturing, or regulated industries (medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
• Experience defining operational standards and scalable program management frameworks.
