Staff Storage Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and architect cost-effective, integrated engineering solutions for global storage, backup, and data environments
• Manage a diverse portfolio of storage arrays including Dell/EMC (PowerMax, Unity, PowerScale, PowerStore), NetApp, and object storage
• Analyze and troubleshoot storage-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Manage SAN Fabric using Brocade Directors and Cisco MDS switches
• Design, architect, and manage backup solutions and strategies for disaster recovery
• Interact with senior management, business customers, and external storage vendors
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and process inefficiencies
• Guide and mentor junior team members

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of NetApp hardware and software in mission-critical production environments
• Expert knowledge of Dell products including PowerMax, PowerScale, PowerStore, and Unity
• Experience with Dell ECS and Google Cloud Storage
• Experience with backup tools such as NetBackup
• Solid understanding of NetApp CDOT operations principles and techniques
• Strong knowledge of FC, CIFS, NFS, storage monitoring, and OS/firmware upgrades
• Experience with Brocade Director class switches
• Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with All-Flash storage arrays
• Experience with Nasuni Cloud Appliance
• Knowledge of Network and Infrastructure Security
