Staff Storage Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and architect cost-effective, integrated engineering solutions for global storage, backup, and data environments.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of storage arrays, including Dell/EMC (PowerMax, Unity, PowerScale, PowerStore) and NetApp.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex storage-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manage SAN Fabric using Brocade Directors and Cisco MDS switches.
• Design, architect, and manage backup solutions and strategies to ensure robust disaster recovery.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and process inefficiencies.
• Guide and mentor junior team members within the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of NetApp hardware and software administration in mission-critical, 24x7 production environments.
• Extensive experience with Dell products, specifically PowerMax, PowerScale, PowerStore, and Unity.
• Proficiency with backup tools such as NetBackup or similar enterprise solutions.
• Strong understanding of SAN Fabric management and protocols including FC, CIFS, and NFS.
• Experience with storage monitoring, OS upgrades, and firmware management.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, as well as virtualization environments like VMware or Hyper-V.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with All-Flash storage arrays and Nasuni Cloud Appliance.
• Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Dell ECS and Google Cloud Storage.
• Knowledge of network and infrastructure security principles.
