Staff SRE Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader for the India-based engineering team, bridging architectural vision with execution.
• Drive the implementation of the long-term technical roadmap for a Cloud-Native Kubernetes platform.
• Lead the evolution of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Crossplane.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and self-sufficiency.
• Manage reliability and systems debugging, performing thorough, blame-free Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Support CI/CD modernization, specifically transitioning from legacy systems to modern automation like GitHub Actions.
• Optimize cluster topologies to balance high performance with cost-efficiency (FinOps).

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems design, and cloud architecture.
• Expert-level experience managing large-scale, high-traffic, multi-tenant Kubernetes environments on AWS (EKS).
• Deep understanding of the AWS ecosystem, including networking, storage, and security layers.
• Proven experience implementing observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, or Thanos).
• Experience migrating CI/CD workflows from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in Go (preferred) or Python for building automation tools and integrated solutions.
• Experience managing container lifecycles using Harbor or Artifactory.
