Staff Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical owner of the customer journey from initial discovery through production deployment.
• Partner with Business Development and Sales to qualify opportunities and map requirements to interoperability designs.
• Design bespoke architectures integrating LayerZero with smart contracts, wallets, trading systems, and data platforms.
• Lead technical presentations, workshops, and demos for audiences ranging from engineers to C-level executives.
• Build and validate Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) by writing or reviewing code in smart contracts or backend services.
• Document architectures, integration plans, and best practices, including sequence diagrams and threat models.
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineering to ensure a smooth hand-off from POC to production scale.
• Advise customers on security, reliability, and operational runbooks for cross-chain flows.
• Provide structured field feedback to Product and Protocol teams to influence the roadmap and SDKs.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Forward Deployed Engineer).
• Strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals and Web3 architecture, including L1/L2s, rollups, and DeFi patterns.
• Proficiency in reading and writing code, ideally in TypeScript, Rust, Go, or Solidity.
• Deep experience with integration architecture patterns and APIs (REST, gRPC, WebSockets, etc.).
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with financial services, trading, or highly regulated industries.
• Understanding of risk, compliance, and integration constraints within enterprise environments.
