Staff Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, high-fidelity testing infrastructure for continuous validation
• Define end-to-end V&V strategy and map software verification to ISO 14971 safety risks
• Implement 'compliance-as-code' workflows to automate regulatory evidence generation
• Lead training and mentorship on TDD, CI/CD, and automated quality gates
• Develop AI-augmented test strategies, including predictive anomaly detection
• Collaborate with leadership to scale quality practices across the organization

Requirements

• 7+ years in software test engineering for complex, regulated systems
• Deep knowledge of IEC 62304 and ISO 14971 standards
• Advanced proficiency in Python and C/C++
• Experience building test infrastructure for embedded hardware and cloud data pipelines
• Experience with cybersecurity requirements (e.g., IEC 81001-5-1, FDA guidance)
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and driving quality-first cultures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing real-time Linux or RTOS-based products
• Background in MLOps and model validation
• Expertise in CMake, Bazel, Terraform, or AWS/GCP
• Experience with FDA Q-Sub or MHRA pre-submission processes
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or software-in-the-loop (SIL) environments
