Staff Software Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the software quality framework, code coverage standards, and static analysis policy
• Lead the adoption of static code analysis standards across firmware and software domains
• Drive code coverage standards and CI/CD pipeline integration for quality gate enforcement
• Partner with software development leads and program managers to translate quality requirements into engineering plans
• Identify quality risks early and drive mitigation strategies to protect program schedules
• Collaborate with joint venture counterparts to align quality processes, tooling, and metrics
• Develop documentation and training materials to build team-wide quality capability

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• 6+ years of experience in software quality engineering within complex embedded or systems software environments
• Hands-on experience with static analysis tools and coding standards like MISRA C
• Strong understanding of code coverage and CI/CD pipeline integration
• Proven ability to define quality metrics and communicate data-driven insights to technical and executive audiences
• Experience influencing cross-functional organizations without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive industry and familiarity with vehicle software development processes
• Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262
• Familiarity with cybersecurity (R155/CSMS) or OTA/software update management (R156/SUMS) frameworks
• Experience with requirements management tools like JAMA or Polarion
• Proficiency with data pipeline and dashboard tools such as Databricks, Datadog, or Grafana
• Experience working in a joint venture or multi-stakeholder environment
