Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end integration of humanoid subsystems into fully functioning systems
- Lead on-site deployment, commissioning, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Propose and drive the development of new software and hardware capabilities
- Perform software support, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to ensure high uptime
- Lead root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions
- Automate robot provisioning and configuration management using Ansible and shell scripting
- Troubleshoot low-latency networking (DDS, UDP, TCP/IP) and streaming pipelines
- Build field tooling, telemetry, and observability for fleet reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Design for Serviceability
- Travel to customer sites for deployments, repairs, and training
Requirements
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics software and debugging
- Proficiency in Ansible, Bash, and Linux
- Strong understanding of robotics networking (DDS, UDP, TCP/IP) and streaming (GStreamer, WebRTC)
- Hands-on experience deploying and commissioning robots on site
- Ability to travel internationally (up to 25%)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of software/robotics engineering experience, or 4+ years of direct humanoid/teleoperation experience
- Demonstrated experience in on-site robot deployment and commissioning
- Experience in testing, including integration and hardware-in-the-loop
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with teleoperation systems, OpenXR/OpenVR, or operator interfaces
- 2+ years of experience with ROS / ROS 2
- 2+ years of experience with Docker and CI/CD
- Familiarity with Jira and Salesforce
- Experience with Unity, Godot, or other engines and SteamVR/OpenXR
