Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies
• Lead technical initiatives to improve verification systems, focusing on automation, reliability, and performance
• Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy for the Global KYC and Onboarding verification platform
• Collaborate with product managers to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Mentor junior and senior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Build internal tools to improve the efficiency of verification agents

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Java 8+ and recent experience with the Spring framework
• Strong system design skills with a track record of building distributed, high-throughput services
• Extensive experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams
• Strong understanding of security best practices and data protection principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with financial services or KYC (Know Your Customer) verification systems
