Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable fintech technology solutions and product components
• Translate functional requirements into robust system designs and communicate component interactions
• Lead code reviews and drive code quality through metrics, best practices, and extensible, reusable code
• Create complex test plans, identify test gaps, and proactively address defects to minimize customer impact
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and data scientists
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and incident response during on-call rotations
• Build and enhance developer tools to support various programs and applications

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in web or mobile application development
• Experience in a leadership role, with or without direct reports
• Expertise in creating and maintaining test plans and executing testing procedures
• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience in code review and applying industry coding standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with container-based technologies
• Experience building and testing enterprise-scale web services
• Background in product development and working on client-facing technical teams
