Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact AI-first initiatives and architect scalable enterprise solutions within the Trimble Platform team.
• Champion an AI-first engineering culture by embedding AI into daily engineering practices and workflows.
• Act as a technical bridge across the organization, guiding stakeholders toward scalable, forward-thinking technical decisions.
• Break down complex architectural initiatives into clear, actionable tasks for engineering teams.
• Mentor engineering teams to execute complex technical projects flawlessly.
• Identify bottlenecks and automate CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
• Design with a "shift-left" mentality, ensuring cybersecurity, testing, and compliance are integrated from the start.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering scalable, enterprise-level applications.
• Deep programming experience in Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and designing SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS solutions.
• Proven experience with LLMs, foundation models, and AI-native development (e.g., prompt and context engineering).
• Proven track record in CI/CD automation and DevOps practices.
• Strong experience in system design and driving architectural decisions in complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing applications using Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• AWS Certifications.
• Proficiency with AI coding agents like Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
