Staff Software Engineer, Test Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Be the leading team member for Muon's Software Test infrastructure team
• Work closely with engineering management to deliver solutions for rapid delivery of quality flight and ground software
• Define department-wide metrics for test health and develop automated reporting
• Integrate feedback from client teams to drive iterative improvements to testing tools
• Work with Hardware Engineering and Manufacturing teams to expand Hardware-in-the-Loop testing capabilities
• Work with the Simulation team to integrate simulation tools into automated testing campaigns
• Mentor Test and Simulation team engineers

Requirements

• Proven ability to deliver department-scale testing procedures and infrastructure
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop integration testing
• Experience designing infrastructure for end-to-end integration tests on large multi-component systems
• B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Strong programming experience in Python
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of C/C++
• Fluency in statistical analysis
• Experience testing embedded hardware projects (robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud deployment
• Experience with Software-in-the-Loop simulation
