Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect Java (Spring Boot 3.x) microservices using hexagonal architecture to define clean domain cores and adapter implementations.
• Own core domain models and service boundaries end-to-end, including Kafka event contracts and production operations.
• Build scalable REST APIs and robust Kafka-based event-driven pipelines.
• Design high-throughput MongoDB document schemas and PostgreSQL relational schemas with a focus on multi-tenant isolation.
• Design Cosmos DB data models, including partition key strategies and consistency levels.
• Implement durable campaign execution workflows using Temporal.
• Establish AI-native integration patterns, including LLM gateway integration and agentic workflow design.
• Mentor senior, mid-level, and junior engineers to raise the overall engineering bar.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience delivering production-grade Java systems.
• Deep expertise in hexagonal architecture (ports & adapters).
• Strong proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Extensive experience with Kafka (consumer groups, partition design, and idempotent consumers).
• Proven experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing, and aggregation) and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Cosmos DB or equivalent distributed key-value stores.
• Solid experience with Elasticsearch for search query optimization.
• Experience with Redis or Aerospike for high-throughput caching.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems on AWS (EKS, MSK), including service boundaries and circuit breaking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Temporal for durable workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with MCP tool registration patterns and agentic platform integration.
• Working knowledge of Python for AI/ML pipeline integration.
• Prior experience building data platforms, real-time analytics systems, or AI-native SaaS products.
