Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the frontend architecture, including Next.js App Router structure, component boundaries, and state management strategies.
• Design and build complex, data-intensive UI surfaces such as real-time attribution dashboards and AI-powered campaign builders.
• Define and maintain the component design system, ensuring accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and robust documentation.
• Establish frontend performance standards, focusing on Core Web Vitals, bundle size optimization, and SSR/SSG strategies.
• Integrate AI-native frontend patterns, including streaming LLM responses and real-time data updates via WebSocket or SSE.
• Lead technical decisions regarding React Server Components (RSC) and API route design.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and with designers to implement pixel-perfect interfaces.

Requirements

• 8+ years of frontend engineering experience with deep expertise in React and Next.js.
• Mastery of Next.js 14+ App Router, React Server Components, and streaming SSR.
• Strong TypeScript expertise across component props, API contracts, and state management.
• Deep Redux expertise, including slice design, selector optimization, and RTK Query.
• Proven experience building data-intensive dashboards with real-time data (WebSocket, SSE, or polling).
• Experience integrating Elasticsearch-powered search UIs (typeahead, faceted search).
• Strong frontend performance engineering skills, including virtualization and code splitting.
• Experience establishing and maintaining component design systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience streaming LLM/AI-generated content into React UI components.
• Familiarity with micro-frontend patterns such as module federation.
• Background in automotive retail, eCommerce analytics, or SaaS BI/reporting platforms.
• Experience using Storybook for component documentation and visual regression testing.
