Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead, build, and improve Snowflake’s feature flagging and experimentation platform
• Work on complex frameworks and code used across Snowflake’s engineering stack
• Build highly scalable, resilient, and performant infrastructure
• Partner with various engineering teams to translate requirements into tangible projects
• Build intuitive and resilient APIs and libraries for developers and customers
• Evangelize and drive adoption of the Platform & Framework
• Support junior team members and contribute to code quality and documentation

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on distributed systems
• Deep experience building and operating large-scale cloud services
• Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, C++, or Python
• Solid understanding of system performance, debugging, and reliability engineering
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and influence architecture decisions
• Ability to drive clarity and consensus in ambiguous environments
