Staff Software Engineer, Simulation ML Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Advance the state of the art of ultra realistic multi-agent simulations using foundation models
• Collaborate with Google DeepMind and Waymo Realism Modeling teams to improve sim realism
• Provide technical leadership on large-scale ML model architectures for autonomous vehicles
• Design and scale large distributed systems covering the ML lifecycle and planet-scale dataset generation
• Translate product goals into measurable technical deliverables
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative culture

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or similar technical field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years in machine learning infrastructure (developing, scaling, training, and deploying large-scale systems)

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science, Robotics, or similar technical field
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 5+ years in machine learning infrastructure
• Experience with DeepSpeed, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
• Expertise in distributed training techniques and gradient sharding
• Deep understanding of auto-regressive transformers and custom-kernels
• Familiarity with Autonomous Driving, Simulations, and ML accelerators
