Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient, maintainable, and robust Java or Golang-based microservices
• Produce technical designs, rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements
• Collaborate with peers on architectural designs, code reviews, and testing strategies
• Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize coverage
• Lead small project groups and participate in resource planning and backlog refinement

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java and object-oriented programming techniques
• Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns for SaaS (microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions to various stakeholders
• BS in Computer Science or a related field
• Ability to drive work forward independently with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)
• Familiarity with distributed data processing (Snowflake, Airflow, Apache Flink)
• Experience with Go and familiarity with AI technologies
