Staff Software Engineer, Product

About the Company

Atria is a membership-based preventive health care practice delivering cutting-edge primary and specialty care in New York, South Florida, Los Angeles, and through 24/7 telemedicine globally. Through our nonprofit Atria Research Institute and Public Health Institute, we work to accelerate the translation of medical breakthroughs and expand access to preventive care.

Responsibilities

• Turn ambiguous problems into clear technical strategies and execution plans
• Own end-to-end delivery for complex initiatives across multiple product teams
• Define and evolve architecture for core product areas like member journeys and clinical workflows
• Design APIs, data models, and integration patterns
• Drive reliability, performance, and SLOs
• Embed testability and high-quality analytics using Mixpanel
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design guidance and code reviews

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven track record as a senior or staff individual contributor
• Strong full-stack skills (API design, data modeling, and UI development)
• Deep familiarity with cloud providers and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong systems design instincts regarding reliability, security, and performance
• Ability to lead through influence in cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, digital health, or regulated domains (HIPAA, PHI, SOC 2)
• Exposure to EHRs, Wearables Integrations, or health data platforms
