Staff Software Engineer: Platform

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions within a Kubernetes-based platform for secure enterprise workloads
• Define and contribute to reliability initiatives including SLOs, capacity planning, and resilience improvements
• Identify and resolve system misconfigurations and architectural risks
• Own and continuously improve internal platform systems, deployments, environments, and developer tooling
• Act as a force multiplier for product engineers by building guardrails and self-serve tooling
• Contribute to internal engineering standards and design principles

Requirements

• Extensive, production-grade Kubernetes scaling experience
• Deep understanding of distributed systems tradeoffs
• Experience in big tech followed by a startup, or a startup that successfully scaled infrastructure
• Strong systems mindset and ability to operate in ambiguity
• Proven ability to act as a technical owner with broad company impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with single-tenant architectures
• Background in financial services or regulated environments
• Familiarity with banking-level security and data governance
