Staff Software Engineer, Platform

Responsibilities

• Design and build a modern cloud-native platform with Elixir at its core
• Develop a fine-grained access control system for clinical data
• Design infrastructure for 24/7 availability, including rolling deployments and real-time data sync
• Architect integration engines to connect medical hardware like ventilators and bedside monitors
• Rethink and optimize hospital workflows to create intuitive digital experiences

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency with object-oriented and functional programming
• Experience building 0-1 products with strong product sense
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and first principles thinking
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Phoenix, Elixir, Python, Erlang, or Javascript
• Familiarity with open-source technology
• Passion for making a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry
