PerfectServe is a leading provider of clinical communication and physician scheduling solutions in the health IT space. The company's mission is to accelerate speed to care by optimizing provider schedules and routing communications to the right place at the right time in any care setting.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive architectural decisions that span multiple teams and services
- Identify and resolve high-priority technical risks and systemic issues
- Own the technical direction of cross-team initiatives from inception through delivery
- Contribute production-quality code using Python and React
- Lead major refactors and modernization efforts to improve performance and maintainability
- Write and review Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipeline configurations
- Serve as a technical mentor to senior and intermediate engineers
- Partner with Product Owners and QA leads to shape roadmap priorities
- Collaborate with DevOps to improve infrastructure automation and cloud resource efficiency on AWS
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 3+ years at a senior or staff level in a distributed, product-focused organization
- Deep expertise in Python and modern web frameworks (Django, FastAPI, or Flask)
- Working proficiency in React or a comparable frontend framework
- Strong command of distributed systems, service decomposition, and API design
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD toolchains (Jenkins, Helm, ArgoCD)
- Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in the healthcare technology sector (HIPAA compliance)
- Familiarity with message queue systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka
- Experience with observability platforms (New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana)
- Experience with GoLang or other backend languages
