Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams, provide direction, and keep stakeholders informed
• Define project priorities and determine key milestones
• Suggest and implement high-quality technical solutions
• Work across many parts of a large codebase to implement features
• Help embed quality and speed into the engineering culture

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience as a software engineer
• Proficiency with Node, TypeScript, and Python
• Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and reliability tradeoffs
• Experience in API design, implementation, and documentation
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude
• Proficiency with version control (Git)
• Experience working on projects that touch many parts of a large codebase
• Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed architectures
• Experience with CI/CD systems and DevOps skills
• Experience in a scaling startup environment
