Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work at the forefront of generative AI and agentic flows to build autonomous reasoning systems
• Architect a scalable, observable, and fault-tolerant experiment engine
• Design and evolve backend infrastructure using Python, AWS, and various data pipelines
• Drive technical strategy, engineering principles, and microservices architecture
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, product, and data science teams
• Prototype new ideas and push boundaries from concept to production
• Maintain high standards for performance, security, and reliability

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and shipping production systems at scale
• Strong expertise in Python, AWS, and JavaScript
• Proven ability to design distributed systems (event-driven, microservices, or data-heavy)
• Experience as a technical lead or staff engineer mentoring peers
• Strong bias toward action, clarity, and documentation
• Deep curiosity regarding AI and experimentation systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in 0→1 or startup environments
• Experience with ClickHouse
• Experience with LLMs in production
• Experience with ecommerce or analytics infrastructure
