Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate an end-to-end enterprise platform that remains fast, reliable and secure at scale
• Build and maintain APIs and features for ad serving while shaping the technical roadmap
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for internal/external engineering teams and cross-functional business teams
• Engage directly with customers to translate real-world needs into engineering solutions, including legacy migrations and bespoke features
• Contribute to the strategic vision of the platform and long-term architecture
• Explore and prototype next-generation features including those enabled by generative AI

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience using Java, C++, Go, or Python
• 2+ years of leadership experience delivering technical projects with a small team of engineers
• Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems from design to production deployment
• Experience building platforms for digital advertising or e-commerce applications
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, Beam, Spark, BigTable, or BigQuery
• Proven ability to work with customers to translate ambiguous requirements into technical roadmaps
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel up to 15%
