Staff Software Engineer - Mobile Workflows

Responsibilities

• Own mobile development tooling including architecture and roadmap for simulator/emulator setup and CLI tools
• Lead the design and evolution of the mobile test automation framework for synthetic and integration testing
• Set the CI/CD quality gating strategy to protect mobile goals and surface quality problems
• Drive alignment across Native Infra, Cross Platform, and DevX to consolidate fragmented workflows
• Define and publish mobile testing best practices and methodologies company-wide
• Build shared quality signals, triage workflows, and monitoring for mobile development
• Mentor and grow the team by providing actionable feedback and attracting top talent

Requirements

• Deep expertise in iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) with working knowledge of the other
• Hands-on experience with React Native or comparable cross-platform frameworks at scale
• Experience building or shaping mobile test automation frameworks (synthetic, integration, or E2E)
• Background in defining CI/CD quality gating strategies and mobile build systems
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-team technical projects
• Ability to drive technical direction and build buy-in without direct authority
• Strong technical documentation and standards-setting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud device testing platforms like BrowserStack or Firebase Test Lab
• Familiarity with Bazel-based monorepo CI/CD environments
• Experience migrating mobile platforms (e.g., WebView to native or web-first to cross-platform)
• Background in internal technical advocacy and stakeholder influence
