Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for core agent systems, including automation building, runtime reliability, evaluations, and observability
• Lead ambiguous backend and full-stack projects that materially advance the product
• Improve engineering practices through better architecture, faster feedback loops, and stronger code reviews
• Mentor teammates through pairing sessions, code reviews, and modeling strong engineering practices

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Proven track record leading complex backend or platform projects with production impact
• Strong systems design instincts in distributed systems, databases, APIs, queues, and asynchronous workflows
• Ability to turn ambiguous product goals into clear technical direction
• Experience integrating AI tools into your workflow
• High agency and strong ownership mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platform, infrastructure, or workflow systems at scale
• Experience building agentic products or agent-based workflows
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI models into production backend systems
• Background in event-driven architectures, workflow engines, or observability
• Prior experience in healthcare operations or revenue cycle management
