Responsibilities

  • Lead decision making on forward-thinking architectural decisions and align technical choices with company goals
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable Swift and Objective-C code
  • Mentor and elevate the engineering team through design decisions and architectural trade-offs
  • Drive code quality through rigorous PR reviews and testing standards
  • Champion AI-assisted development to increase team velocity and quality
  • Architect and implement performant solutions for interactive manipulation of images, video, and mixed media
  • Contribute to the release process, including feature flagging and release management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and business stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience building iOS applications in Swift and/or Objective-C
  • Experience owning projects end-to-end from prototype to rollout
  • Experience working on mobile consumer applications at scale
  • Experience with iOS media manipulation frameworks (AVFoundation, Core Image/Video/Audio, Metal)
  • Experience collaborating with iOS, Android, server, and web engineers
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and improving code quality
  • Experience with feature flagging, release management, and observability tools (Datadog, Crashlytics)
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Comfort with AI-assisted development workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with React Native
  • Experience with OpenGL, 3D rendering, and matrix-based transformations
  • Experience integrating third-party tools for media manipulation
  • Familiarity with Android to facilitate cross-platform discussions
