Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications that power CLEAR's identity platform
• Own projects end-to-end from technical discovery and architecture through implementation and rollout
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, Security, and Operations to translate business problems into technical solutions
• Drive technical direction and engineering best practices across teams
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and technical collaboration
• Influence technical strategy and architectural direction across multiple products

Requirements

• 9+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, React, and TypeScript
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven history of owning complex, cross-functional projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and make thoughtful technical tradeoffs
