Staff Software Engineer, Frontend

Responsibilities

• Architect component libraries, shared abstractions, and foundational TypeScript and React code
• Build tooling and infrastructure that enables feature teams to maintain high quality and velocity
• Drive a culture of high-quality craft through code reviews, documentation, and cross-org collaboration
• Scale a rich component library with an emphasis on reusability, accessibility, and consistent UX
• Design and build highly interactive, performant web experiences for exploring and listening to music
• Identify technical pain points and drive improvements through thoughtful, incremental refactors
• Obsess over product performance, accessibility, and fine-grained craft details

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience shipping production web applications
• Advanced expertise in TypeScript, React, NextJS, and CSS
• Experience building complex, modular, and maintainable responsive web apps
• Proven ability to translate ambitious prototypes into production-ready code
• Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across engineering, design, and product teams
• Passion for web performance metrics and high-quality user experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building developer tooling and automation pipelines
• Familiarity with design systems and building shared component libraries
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows
• A love of music (listening, exploring, or making)
