Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code focused on scalability and reliability
• Take end-to-end ownership of services from design to deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with architects on system design and technical reviews
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and observability
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers

Requirements

• 7–10 years of development experience in Java microservices
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring / Spring Boot
• Proven ability to build and operate distributed, cloud-native microservices at scale
• Strong experience with GCP services (GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, CockroachDB, Redis)
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
• Practical knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and caching strategies
• Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
• Proficiency with agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems
• Familiarity with Looker, analytics pipelines, and large-scale reporting
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence
• Exposure to frontend technologies like React and TypeScript
