Staff Software Engineer, FinPlatform Backend

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Finance services and internal tooling, including financial reporting and reconciliation processes
• Develop new APIs to support large money movements across banking partners via payment rails like ACH
• Scale the core platform to support business growth while maintaining performance and reliability
• Improve daily operations through automation, tooling, design evolution, and observability
• Collaborate with product, analytics, finance, and engineering teams to launch new financial features

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• Experience in technical leadership and guiding engineering teams
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Golang, or TypeScript/Node.js
• Strong experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB)
• Experience designing fault-tolerant and scalable distributed systems
• Experience with AWS cloud services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CLI, AWS CDK, or Terraform)
• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation
• Deep experience with complex queries and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
• Proactive approach to proposing and following engineering best practices
