Staff Software Engineer, Event Logging

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partner teams to prototype solutions and drive adoption of logging products
• Own the technical direction and roadmap for major areas of the logging platform
• Lead investments into new technical capabilities to unlock product innovation
• Create and present design, product, and architecture documents
• Translate prototypes into scalable, maintainable production code
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers

Requirements

• 9+ years of industry engineering experience
• Deep expertise in backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, or C++
• Proven track record of architecting high-traffic backend systems
• Experience developing solutions to ambiguous problems
• Ability to influence engineering strategy across a large organization
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building internal infrastructure, specifically in event logging and observability
• Experience mentoring and growing engineers across an organization
