About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack software solutions for equipment-to-system integration
- Build backend services using Java, C#, Python, or Node.js and front-end interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Implement messaging and integration frameworks such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or MQTT
- Connect manufacturing equipment using protocols including OPC UA, SECS/GEM, TCP/IP, and MQTT
- Integrate systems with MES, SCADA, and other smart-factory platforms
- Design and optimize databases for equipment data, events, and historical tracking
- Troubleshoot connectivity, data flow, and system behavior issues to ensure reliable real-time data flow
- Support deployments, commissioning, and production startup while maintaining technical documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of software development experience (full-stack or backend)
- Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of industrial protocols such as OPC UA, SECS/GEM, or TCP/IP
- Experience with databases, Git, and Agile tools like Jira or GitLab
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with messaging frameworks like ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or MQTT
- Familiarity with SCADA (Ignition, znt PAC) or MES (Siemens OpCenter/Camstar)
- Understanding of manufacturing environments, automation, and Industry 4.0 principles
- Experience with OSI PI or other analytics platforms
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
