Staff Software Engineer - Embedded

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the architecture for embedded Linux-based systems
• Own and drive the technical direction of core embedded software platforms
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineers at all levels
• Set engineering standards and promote best practices across multi-disciplinary teams
• Drive testable software design and improve unit, integration, and system-level test coverage
• Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes to de-risk complex technical problems
• Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware, and product management to translate requirements into software solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong software architecture and system design skills
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and Go
• Embedded Linux development experience
• Experience with multi-process, service-based architectures
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in complex hardware-software integrated systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to RF, FPGA, or DSP technologies
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Strong understanding of inter-process communication mechanisms
