Staff Software Engineer (DevOps)

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of a platform service from design through production deployment and on-call support
• Build reliable, well-tested backend services in Go with a focus on correctness and operational simplicity
• Design and implement integrations with SaaS APIs including M365, Google Workspace, and Salesforce
• Collaborate with principal and senior engineers on cross-service interfaces and data models
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions within your domain

Requirements

• 8–12 years of DevOps / SRE experience
• 3+ years managing large-scale infrastructure
• Expertise in Kubernetes cluster operations and resource management
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD)
• Strong observability skills with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Experience with incident management, alert triage, and post-mortems
• Solid networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, and VPCs
• Security mindset including secrets management (Vault) and RBAC
• Proficiency in Go or Python for automation
• Deep Linux systems knowledge including performance tuning and storage I/O

Preferred Qualifications

• OpenStack operations experience
• Multi-cloud abstraction across AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure (5K+ nodes)
• FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience
• Chaos engineering and resilience testing
• Bare metal provisioning experience
• Backup/DR domain awareness
