Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) observability pipelines, unifying log management with customer-managed infrastructure.
• Build and scale high-throughput systems for log processing, routing, and transformation across distributed environments.
• Design software that ensures seamless deployment, upgrades, and reliable operation within diverse customer cloud environments.
• Drive technical architecture and cross-team initiatives, aligning engineers and product managers on complex projects.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through capacity planning and trade-off analysis.
• Contribute hands-on to critical code paths, debugging, and deployment challenges.

Requirements

• Significant experience building software designed for installation and operation in customer environments.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, including scalability and high-throughput data processing.
• Proficiency in systems-level programming languages such as Go, Rust, or C++.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and how software operates across diverse environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Kubernetes, in production settings.
• Proven track record of leading large, cross-functional engineering efforts and influencing technical direction.
