Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of major Data Platform initiatives like GRC, scaling, or stream processing
• Build reusable primitives and unblock teammates to act as a force multiplier
• Maintain high standards as a top code contributor
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business problems into technical strategy
• Drive robust technical solutions using 80/20 thinking and decisive leadership

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven track record of driving large, ambiguous technical initiatives end-to-end
• Expertise in distributed systems and large-scale data infrastructure
• Ability to multiply team impact through architectural leadership and mentorship
• Strong technical judgment and cross-functional influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for Discord and gaming
• Experience with data governance or privacy compliance
• Experience with real-time analytics infrastructure or cost optimization in large-scale environments
