About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale core platform services end-to-end, from greenfield projects to high-traffic production systems
  • Serve as the technical authority on Edge & Agents domain, providing oversight on agent architectures and designs
  • Develop and maintain lightweight, high-reliability agents deployed on customer VMs
  • Instrument low-level system metrics using eBPF and procfs for monitoring and telemetry
  • Own agent packaging and deployment via Helm charts
  • Design and evolve pull-based scraping architecture for metric collection
  • Collaborate with Control Plane, Storage, and SRE teams to ensure reliable data feeds
  • Provide technical leadership by mentoring senior engineers and setting architectural patterns

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python, Go, and/or Shell scripting
  • Experience instrumenting low-level Linux kernel metrics and working at the procfs level
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals and Helm chart packaging
  • Proven experience with on-call responsibilities for customer-facing teams
  • Expertise in designing for crash safety, low resource footprint, and high availability
  • Ability to lead cross-domain efforts and own team-wide architecture
