Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop Cloud Infrastructure management systems and platforms
• Deliver end-to-end use cases and workflows for a vertically integrated AI-first Crusoe Cloud
• Build systems that efficiently plan, monitor, deploy, and operate infrastructure
• Implement platforms, tools, and frameworks focused on reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate across teams to implement physical infrastructure management software and availability platforms
• Design high-performing, highly available cloud architectures optimized for performance and cost
• Streamline cloud deployment, configuration management, and operations through automation tooling
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to team growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• 10+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
• Proven experience building and running reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms in production
• Fluency in Go, Rust, Java, or C++
• Platform-first mindset for working with development and operations teams
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Passion for building energy-efficient, scalable AI infrastructure
• Enthusiasm for sustainability and clean energy innovation
