Staff Software Engineer - Billing & Subscription

Responsibilities

• Own Suno's billing systems across web and mobile, including Stripe and RevenueCat integrations, subscription lifecycle, and usage metering
• Lead the evolution of billing architecture, including the migration to a modern ledger-based model
• Participate in product and strategy discussions regarding monetization and revenue models
• Build internal tools and systems to provide leverage for the broader engineering and finance teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, specifically with high-stakes systems like payments or financial infrastructure
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and failure modes (idempotency, out-of-order events, etc.)
• Strong product sense and a high bar for technical correctness
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Ability to work onsite in NYC or Cambridge, MA

• Hands-on experience with Stripe
• A passion for music
