Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Search)

Responsibilities

• Build next-generation discovery, recommendation, and personalization search systems
• Develop and research state-of-the-art algorithms in relevant search fields
• Scale reliable back-end search services and improve availability, scalability, and latency
• Guide and mentor technical design, coding patterns, and architecture via RFC processes
• Coach engineers on task breakdown, implementation plans, and balancing business impact with quality
• Design and plan production rollouts using A/B testing for evaluation
• Partner with product teams to plan technical designs for future opportunities

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the software development cycle
• Proficiency in Go or Java
• Strong background in Elasticsearch
• Experience with AWS, GCP, SQL, NoSQL, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, or Solr
• Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication in both Thai and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of data science and machine learning concepts
• TOEIC 800 or HSK4 certification
