Staff Software Engineer - Backend

Responsibilities

• Lead technical designs on projects across multiple teams and serve as the go-to expert for architecture and design subjects.
• Design, build, and launch scalable backend microservices to support Lalamove's rapid global expansion.
• Develop and enhance core products by writing high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Drive code quality, knowledge sharing, and mentor team members to foster technical excellence.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in backend development (Java, PHP, Node.js, or GoLang).
• High proficiency in Java and design patterns (minimum 2-3 years required).
• Strong working knowledge of middleware such as Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Proven experience in large-scale system and application design capable of supporting high transaction volumes.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud technologies.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• A proactive "can-do" attitude with the ability to tackle critical and difficult technical issues.
