About the role
Responsibilities
- Prioritize, design, implement, test, and operate micro-services for the Databricks platform and product
- Write software in Scala/Java and build data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Kafka
- Integrate with third-party applications and interact with cloud APIs such as AWS, Azure, CloudFormation, and Terraform
- Architect, develop, deploy, and operate large scale distributed systems
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years of production level experience in Java, Scala, C++, or similar languages
- Experience architecting and operating large scale distributed systems
- Experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with software security and handling sensitive data
- Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes
