Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for the Onsite Growth platform
• Lead cross-functional technical strategy with product, design, ML, and data science teams
• Identify and address systemic engineering risks such as reliability gaps and scalability ceilings
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and user-facing product capabilities
• Improve system observability, resiliency, and performance
• Mentor and develop other engineers through technical feedback and sponsorship

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven track record of leading complex systems at scale
• Deep proficiency in Java or TypeScript
• Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and microservices
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases, caching, queues, and streaming
• Strong technical communication skills including writing RFCs and leading design reviews
• Experience mentoring and developing other engineers
