About the Company

Asimov is advancing humanity's ability to design living systems by developing a mammalian synthetic biology platform. Their Kernel platform enables bioengineers to design, build, and debug genetic systems with the same confidence as shipping code.

Responsibilities

• Make architectural decisions that shape the Kernel platform
• Design GraphQL APIs for searching, editing, and analyzing genetic constructs using Python 3, SQLAlchemy, and Strawberry
• Architect data models representing the complexity of biological systems
• Interface with synthetic biologists to understand workflows and identify productivity tools
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support developed software

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building production-grade software
• Deep expertise in Python 3
• Experience with API design, data migrations, and scaling systems
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in building first-of-its-kind products

• Experience with GraphQL
